All around us are people doing great things. This website was inspired by those people. Like a collection of many leaves falling from the trees. So here is a place where leaves can gather. Thus the beginning of the www.LeafPile.org website and blog, a place where awesome people can gather and share inspirational idea, information about upcoming events in the area, and much more……
I reside in Burlington County on the edge of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Many of my creative designs are inspired by nature and the world around me. Crafting and art have always been a part of my world since I could hold a crayon in my hand. Although I have advanced beyond the crayon, I still color as often as possible using many difference mediums.
I am an avid scrapbooker and am addicted to rubber stamps and decorative papers. I am somewhat famous among my friends and family for my greeting cards. I can no longer purchase store greeting cards for fear they might consider this an insult. The planning stage for my Christmas cards now begins around July. I will have several different designs available with new ones arriving as the seasons change.
Many items that others discard become part of my art. I am a collector and enjoy gathering items to be used later in my art, including: pinecones, wine corks, metal mint tins, denim jeans and much more. I am a self-proclaimed recycling nut and reuse as much as I can, discard as little as possible, and recycle whenever possible.
I have been sew-ing and quilting for many years (actually decades). I enjoy doing altered sewing to t-shirts and old denim jeans. My quilts are usually wall hangings, tabletop quilts or coasters. I never seem to find the time to finish large quilting projects and prefer to work on the little pieces.
Most of all I consider myself a creative person. No time for idle hands here! Many of the things I make are given as gifts, hopefully making a difference for those who receive. Please visit the Leaf Pile Window Shop and Art Gallery to see what new creations are available.
I hope you enjoy your visit to www.leafpile.org and come back often to see what new things await…
